Editorial disclaimer
Last updated: June 13, 2026
TECHANDTAG News publishes news, analysis and opinion on technology, design and compliance. We work hard to be accurate, fair and timely, but no newsroom is infallible. This page explains what readers can — and cannot — expect from our reporting.
1. News accuracy
Stories are checked by a human editor before publication. We rely on documents, on-the-record interviews, official statements, peer-reviewed research and reputable wire services. Despite this, errors can occur. Where a material error is identified, we correct the article and add a dated correction note at the foot of the story. Readers may flag suspected errors via our contact form.
2. Sources
We name sources whenever possible. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is in the public interest and the source faces credible risk if identified; in such cases the editor in charge knows the source's identity. We do not pay sources for information. Quotes are reproduced verbatim except for minor edits for clarity, which are always indicated with square brackets or ellipses.
3. Breaking news and live coverage
Items shown in the red breaking-news ticker and in articles tagged "Breaking" or "Developing" reflect the best information available at the time of publication. Details may change rapidly. We update such stories as new facts emerge and timestamp each significant change.
4. Opinion, analysis and commentary
Articles labelled "Opinion", "Analysis", "Commentary" or "Column" represent the views of the author, not the editorial position of TECHANDTAG News. Comparative claims, forecasts and recommendations in such pieces are the author's own.
5. No professional advice
Content on this site is for general information only. It does not constitute legal, financial, investment, medical, tax, regulatory, engineering, security or other professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional before acting on anything you read here. We accept no liability for actions taken — or not taken — on the basis of our content.
6. Third-party content, links and quotations
Articles may link to or quote external websites, social media posts, datasets, images, videos and documents. We do not control, endorse or guarantee the accuracy, legality or availability of third-party material. Outbound links are provided for reference only.
7. AI assistance
We may use AI tools for transcription, translation, summarisation, image search, code formatting and proofreading. Editorial judgement, fact-checking and final publication decisions are made by human editors. Articles that are substantially generated by AI are clearly disclosed.
8. Images, video and trademarks
Images and video are credited where required by licence. Stock and editorial imagery may be illustrative rather than depicting the exact subject of the story. Logos, product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial commentary under applicable fair-use / fair-dealing principles.
9. User-generated content
Comments, newsletter replies and contact messages reflect the views of their authors, not TECHANDTAG News. We moderate comments and remove content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, off-topic, spam or otherwise breaches our community standards. We do not guarantee that all such content is removed before being read.
10. Advertising and sponsored content
We display advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads are not editorial endorsements. Any sponsored or partner content is clearly labelled and is editorially independent of our advertising relationships. Affiliate links, when used, are disclosed at the foot of the relevant article.
11. Forward-looking statements and market data
Statements about future events — including market trends, product roadmaps, regulatory outcomes and pricing — are estimates only and may turn out to be wrong. Any prices, statistics or live data shown are believed reliable at the time of publication but are not guaranteed and should not be relied upon for trading or investment decisions.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TECHANDTAG News, its owners, editors, contributors and partners are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site, its content or any linked resource.
13. Corrections and complaints
To request a correction, right of reply, takedown or to raise a complaint about a story, please contact us. We aim to respond within five working days. Material complaints are reviewed by a senior editor independent of the original reporter.
14. Changes to this disclaimer
We may revise this disclaimer to reflect changes in our practice or in applicable law. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was most recently revised. Continued use of the site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
